Gerry S. Sager
While not a date setter or trendsetter, Gerry S. Sager senses that Christ’s return is soon. In Awake he presents a scripturally-based view with building blocks comprised of specific Scriptures to address foundational errors and assumptions that have misdirected the church’s traditional beliefs about the signs of Christ’s second coming. Sager believes that one purpose of prophecy is to help prepare and comfort us with foretold knowledge during tumultuous times.
Sager believes the true heart of God is to bring his people together in adoring worship to reign forever with Him. This concept is called the end-times paradigm. However, misunderstandings of this paradigm can be confusing, especially when it seems opposed to well-established traditions and schools of thought for how and when the Lord will return.
Gerry S. Sager, appreciates the depths of Scripture and finding ways to explain its mysteries applicable to end-times prophecies. His favorite Bible passages are Proverbs 25:2 - "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings," and Luke 11:9 & 10 -“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." These scriptures have fostered his Christian growth and efforts to glorify God.

The End of Times... an alternative perception
Daniel 9:24 “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish ….
Daniel’s 70th week (often labeled the 7 yr tribulation period) was specifically decreed for the Jewish people and their Holy City Jerusalem. It was not decreed for the world at large and its inhabitants. But the established End-Time paradigm includes all the world events of the 7-seals and 7-trumpets into this Jewish centric 7yr period
Today’s paradigm consists of forced-fitted theories, each of which do not agree with all of the scripture creating confusion and division. It's important that we understand the book of Revelation, particularly in this day and age. Jesus himself highlighted the significant importance of this book not only in his opening Prologue, Rev 1:3 "Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near" but also in his closing epilogue, Rev 22:7 “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.” The fact that Christ himself bookended his message in such a manner emphasizes its importance. You won’t find this type of bookending anywhere else in scripture.
God is not about division and confusion. Satan has created the division, God expects those who have an eye and an ear, to find their way through the confusion and understand his message, and not just give up.
The imminent return of Christ is on many minds in recent years, with the global pandemic, rapid rise of technology, and multi-national wars. We don’t have to be paralyzed by these thoughts when we remember Christ loves us and wants us to be prepared for His return as we live out our lives here on earth.
